Darryl Kissinger
Board Chair
Darryl Kissinger started Kissinger Associates in 1985 as a solo entrepreneur with a vision to build a custom programming business serving organizations in southeastern Pennsylvania who had recently purchased business management systems. The business grew swiftly under his leadership as company president, and within a few years Kissinger Associates had become one of the first Master Developers for State of the Art’s MAS 90 accounting software. Darryl recognized the opportunity to package many of the company’s custom development projects and the company built an extensive catalog of hundreds of enhancement software solutions and a thriving business serving MAS 90 users across the country.
In the 90’s, Darryl continued the company’s growth by leading Kissinger’s entry into the integrated EDI marketplace through the acquisition and further development of EDI Advantage, making it the first fully-automated EDI solution for MAS 90 (now known as Sage 100).
In 2001, Darryl pioneered the use of dynamically-generated website content and built an online customer support case tracking solution for Kissinger Associates before such systems were widely-available, giving customers a convenient, easy-to-use method for receiving support assistance for Kissinger products.
In 2014, Darryl led a new initiative with the introduction of Web-Stor eCommerce integration solutions for Sage 100, designing an innovative software architecture to maximize system maintenance efficiency and performance.
In 2021, after 36 years as president of Kissinger Associates, Darryl decided to make the transition away from company leadership and now provides guidance and advice to the company as the chair of Kissinger’s board of directors.
Prior to starting Kissinger Associates, Darryl served in the United States Army as a Radio Traffic Analyst, studied electronics engineering and computer technology at the Ohio Institute of Technology, collaborated on innovative minicomputer processing interfaces at Bell Labs, and designed automated energy management systems during the energy crisis. Darryl lives in Bernville, Pennsylvania with his wife, Michelle Kissinger, who worked alongside her husband for nearly a decade as director of business development, director of organizational development, and served on the board of directors.
