On March 18, 2020, a bill was passed by the United States Congress – H.R. 6201 “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” – to provide emergency supplemental appropriations and support to people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This new legislation has several implications for payroll processing as it relates to emergency paid sick leave wages and tax credits, among other things. As a result, Sage is currently working on a solution for Sage 100 to fulfill the requirements of the new legislation, and the company aims to have tax updates and documentation available to support the legislative changes no later than Friday, April 3, 2020.
If you have questions or concerns about the impact of the payroll update or any aspect of Sage 100 payroll processing, please contact your Sage 100 business partner.
