Appointment is result of company's planned transition to second generation leadership
CENTERPORT, PA. July 19, 2021 – Kissinger Associates, Inc. announced this week that Cherie (Kissinger) Powell has been appointed president of the company and assumed responsibilities on July 14, 2021. She succeeds Darryl Kissinger, who served the company as president since 1985. Although stepping away from company leadership, Darryl will continue to contribute in his new role as board chair.
Prior to this appointment, Cherie has filled several other key positions at Kissinger, including director of marketing and board chair. Throughout her tenure at the company, Cherie and Darryl have worked closely together, and Cherie’s appointment as president is the result of the company’s planned transition to second generation leadership.
“We’ve been planning carefully for this transition for several years, and that process is now bearing fruit—not only for the company, but also for our customers and partners,” Darryl said. “It’s been a very smooth hand-off. The fact that Cherie and I have been working together for 26 years has helped us make this transition feel very comfortable for everyone connected to the company. I’m extremely happy she’s agreed to take over as president, and I have every confidence in her ability to achieve great results. I think we’re all looking forward to a very promising future for Kissinger Associates.”

Cherie holds an MBA with a marketing concentration from The Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management & administration from Alvernia University. She lives in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania with her family.
